Funny you should mention this release because i picked it up this afternoon without knowing anything about it after hearing it played in bent crayon. Anyway, it is indeed really good electronica but i hear no autechre or plaid in it at all. Instead it sounds like a mix of mouse on mars, matmos and remote viewer. I've only given it a few listens so already consider it a worthwhile purchase. The guy at bent crayon said he didnt know anything about the release either but brought some into his store because jan st werner had mentioned that it was one of his favorites of 99.
